The lumbar cushion is a deflatable foam - filled plastic envelope with a Nomex cover. The cushion adheres to the seat back in the lumbar region by velcro hooks.

The cushion is deflated by the occupant, using the pressure release valve to the most comfortable size and shape.

The shape and size is retained until the cushion is reflated by operating the pressure release valve.
